Insights into the Theatre History

The 2024/2025 theater season brings something new: a new collaboration between the Slovenian Theater Institute and SNG Opera and Ballet Ljubljana, which builds on the collaboration between SLOGI and SNG Drama Ljubljana that started in the previous season – SLOGI and Drama. In the series of lectures and talks Views into theater history, we will place selected performances of the current season of both Ljubljana's national theaters in a wider historical, artistic and social context. The events that will take place before the selected premieres will offer an exclusive insight into the collections of the SLOGI Theater Museum and will encourage the audience to think about the themes and questions raised by the theater works, their critical reception and performance history even before viewing the performances.

The events offer an exclusive insight into the collections of the SLOGI - Theater Museum and encourage the audience to think about the themes and questions raised by the selected dramatic works, their critical reception and performance history even before viewing the individual performances.
