The publication is a successor Repertoarja of Slovenian theaters 1867–1967, which was published in 1967 and described the century-long history of Slovenian theater productions. The "centennial" repertoire was followed by five five-year sequels, which turned into an annual title publication with the 1992/93 season. This also expanded the presentation of Slovenian theater production with a table of Slovenian theater festivals, awarded prizes and critical comments on what is happening in individual genres of theater.
