The number was encouraged 50th anniversary of the Glej Theatre in 2020, when an international scientific symposium on the topic was also held The community works. The discussions bring an analysis of Slovenian experimental theatres (Tomaž Toporišič), Croatian theatre scene (Višnja Kačić Rogošić). They further discuss the differences between creative and community theatre (Aldo Milohnić) and between dramatic and non-dramatic texts (Gašper Troha). They are complemented by analyses of various contemporary examples of theatre collectives (Branko Jordan) and examples of theatre's intervention in the wider social community in Ghana (Promise Nyatepeh Nyatuame, and Akosua Abdalah), Mexico (Marina Pallarès Elias) and the Czech Republic (Intelektrurálně Collective).
The discussions are complemented by two reviews. In the first, Eva Kučera Šmon presents the book Mala Kline Theaters of potentialityand in the second, Kaja Jurgele's book Birgit Fritz InExActArt: August Boal's Autopoietic Theater.
