The importance of the international traveling exhibition, its design and the Slovenian contribution will be presented by M.Sc. Mojca Jan Zoran, director of the Slovenian Theater Institute, Slovenian curator of the exhibition mag. Tea Rogelj and on behalf of the host of the international traveling exhibition in Slovenia Damjana Pečnik, State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia.
International traveling exhibition The history of Europe - as told by the theatres we prepared museums from six countries: Victoria & Albert Museum - Department of Theater and Performances from London, Teatermuseet i Hofteatret from Copenhagen, Muzeum Teatralne - Teatr Wielki from Warsaw, Deutsches Theatermuseum from Munich, Theatermuseum from Vienna and the Slovenian Theater Institute - Theater Museum and was supported by the Culture program of the European Union. It presents the history of Europe as reflected in the repertory and architectural design of European theaters, while not only trying to follow chronology, but taking the visitor through nine central themes, named The Mediterranean Experience, Religious Influence, Changing Society - Changing Buildings, Aesthetics and Technology , Narod, Gori!, Crossing Borders, War and Democracy. In Slovenia, it will be on display in the lobby of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia from October 24, 2016 to January 3, 2017.
