ENICPA Meeting and General Assembly

Between October 7 and 9, 2024, the Slovenian Theater Institute hosted its regular annual meeting and general assembly European Network of Information Centers for the Performing Arts (ENICPAEuropean Network of Information Centers for the Performing Arts), of which SLOGI is also a member.

The network is currently connecting 15 institutions from 11 different European countries (Belgium, Czech Republic, Iceland, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, North Macedonia and Spain).
The meetings are aimed at exchanging professional knowledge and experience, getting to know each other, developing new ideas and collaborating on individual projects.

This year's meeting was devoted to two central themes: the exchange and interconnection of information in digital collections, and collection practices in the field of marginalized groups and overlooked topics. During the meeting, guest lecturers also presented their experiences: Beth Kattelman and She loves Frazier from the Theater Research Institute at Ohio State University (Lawrence and Lee Theater Research Institute, The Ohio State University, US) and Rok Vevar, founder of the Temporary Slovenian Dance Archive, which has been housed in the Metelkova Museum of Contemporary Art since 2018.

During their visit to Ljubljana, the participants of the meeting had, among other things, the opportunity to see the permanent exhibition of the Puppet Museum at the Ljubljana Castle.
