Prva letošnja številka Amfiteatra je v celoti posvečena temi ljubiteljskega gledališča. The latter is not often the subject of scientific research either in Slovenia or abroad. We have approached amateur theatre from different perspectives, as it has a rich history in Slovenia and elsewhere in Europe. Some key periods in the development of Slovenian theatre have been analysed by Aldo Milohnič (The Workers' Stage under Bratko Kreft and Ferd Delak), Tomaž Toporišič (the connection of Slovenian avant-garde movements from the late 1960s to the contemporary American avant-garde) and Barbara Orel (the turn towards non-acting).
Of course, Slovenian amateur theatre is still a vital part of the theatre landscape today. By comparing the current situation in Malta, Estonia and Slovenia, we have tried to place it in a European context.
The issue is complemented by studies of various cases of amateur theatres and projects in Slovenia and abroad, and two reviews of current book editions (Katarina Podbevšek and Nina Žavbi, eds.: Speech in pedagogical practice and Florence Dupont: Aristotle or the Vampire of Western Theater).
Revijo so predstavili:
