The exhibition, which was created as a result of cooperation between the Theater Institute in Prague and the Slovenian Theater Museum, tried to show the life and work of the world-renowned playwright, former dissident and prisoner, and later the Czech president Vaclav Havel, a man with international authority, whose words are Dayalen's democratic movements and newly formed countries in the former Central and Eastern Europe a special weight and gravity. In conjunction with the exhibition, the Slovenian Theater Museum published a bilingual (Slovene-English) catalog with rich visual material and a list of all productions of Vaclav Havel's plays both in the former Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and on European, world and Slovenian stages.

 

The catalog also includes the texts of two connoisseurs of Havel's work: Drago Jančar, one of the most prominent contemporary Slovenian writers and playwrights, and Jaroslav Skrušny, the translator of Havel's plays into Slovenian.
