The fifteenth expanded continuation of the Repertoar of Slovenian theatres 1867-1967 covers the 2001/2002 theatre season. The summary of the collected statistical data shows an objective growth in stage production, as it records 314 different performances (in the 2000/2001 season there were 294), of which 154 were premieres (previously 141). 134 performances were based on proposals by Slovenian authors, compared to 143 the previous season. The share of premiere performances therefore increased and approached half of the current offer, while the share of Slovenian authors slightly decreased. Regardless of the encouraging statistical data, theatre attendance decreased, especially if we consider that the average attendance per performance is 206 spectators (previously 218).
Despite this, attendance at Slovenian theatres in the 2001/2002 season reached an impressive 910,143 spectators. The data covers all Slovenian institutional, non-institutional and also prominent semi-professional theatres and theatre groups. The publication also shows guest appearances in and outside individual theatres, describes festivals, awards and prizes that were awarded in the period under review, and provides comprehensive statistics and a bibliography of books, serials and articles in the field of theatre, especially reviews published in the period under review. A network of various registers makes it easier for the user to find a performance.
