In the comic book Hamlet, to be or not to be in comics, created by renowned Slovenian cartoonist Andrej Potrč in collaboration with Ciril Horjak, the latest translation used Hamlet into Slovenian, created by Srečko Fišer for staging at the SNG Drama Ljubljana in 2013 and for which he also received the award at the 48th Borštnikovo srečanje Festival Borštnik Prize for Translation. The text for the comic strip is shortened (as is also shortened by the creators of theatrical performances, since the entire Hamlet on stage would last more than four hours), but not adapted. The entire story, all the actions and most of the scenes are preserved. The missing scenes do not significantly affect the story. The actions and scenes are marked in the comic strip as in the original text. A prologue has been added, which is partly adapted, and partly the text from the last scene is used. Hamlet.
The comic is the first Hamlet in comics in Slovenia.
