In September 2021, the Slovenian Theater Institute acquired the oeuvre of Cveta Mirnik, one of the most visible theater costume designers in Slovenia (1951–2021). It was donated to us by her aunt Ivanka Pirš.

In 1979 at the Maribor Theatre Festival, Cveta Mirnik was awarded the Borštnik Award for costume design in Right you are – if you think you are by Luigi Pirandello, produced by Slovene National Theater Nova Gorica.

Its director Dušan Mlakar is this year’s (2022) recipient of Tantadruj, the award for lifetime achievements conferred by three Slovenian theaters from the western Primorska region and Italy's Trieste.
