Right you are – if you think you are, Cveta Mirnik and Dušan Mlakar

In September 2021, Slovenian Theatre Institute acquired the oeuvre of Cveta Mirnik, one of the most visible theatre costume designers in Slovenia (1951–2021). It was donated to us by her aunt Ivanka Pirš.

In 1979 at the Maribor Theatre Festival, Cveta Mirnik was bestowed the Borštnik Award for costume design in Right you are – if you think you are by Luigi Pirandello, produced by Slovene National Theatre Nova Gorica.

Its director Dušan Mlakar is this year’s (2022) recipient of Tantadruj, the award for lifetime achievements conferred by three Slovenian theatres from the western Primorska region and Italy’s Trieste.
