Miran Jarc, who wrote poems, prose and plays, also translated all literary genres. The library of the Slovenian Theatre Institute holds his translation of the comedy Break the jug Heinrich von Kleist. Both the manuscript version and the typescript have been preserved. They are stored in a folder with the texts for the first Slovenian staging of Kleist's dramatic work. This folder also contains copies of Moder's translation. Miran Jarc fell during the Roga offensive in the summer of 1942, and Kleist's comedy was first staged only in 1944. The work was directed by Osip Šest, and Janko Moder is listed as the translator.
