In times when life takes place largely in front of various screens, we thought it was important to offer our youngest the opportunity to spend quality time away from the screen. Not only does this relieve the already tired eyes of our youngest, information that we write by hand is retained in our memory for a longer time, and writing by hand itself helps us maintain long-term attention.
Due to all these factors, we decided to prepare 6 different worksheets, on which the tasks are designed to suit different age groups.
They are most suitable for the youngest CREATIVE worksheet (Mother, Nežka) where they can make real stick puppets following simple instructions. The youngest ones will need a little help from their elders with the cutting, but they will certainly be able to color and play later on their own. If help is not available at that moment, the sheet can be used as a coloring book.
For older children who already know the letters and can basically connect letters into words, the following worksheets are suitable: SEARCH ENGINE (theatrical professions, theater spaces), where they have to find theater words among the jumbled letters in a square – professions on one sheet, and spaces in the theater on the other.
For the even more demanding, there are two available CROSSWORD CLUE (complementation, theater slogans). A crossword puzzle for completion, where the words are already given and they must be sorted correctly, and a crossword puzzle with passwords, where we must choose the correct password from the descriptions and write it in the crossword puzzle.
We hope that in addition to rested eyes, new ideas (we get more ideas when writing by hand), and quality time spent, we will also solve some organizational problem when all family members want to use the same computer at the same time.
