Štefka Drolc – on the 100th anniversary of her birth

Štefka Drolc, a great Slovenian actress, a representative of the so-called modern game, was born in Ponikva near Šentjurju December 22, 1923On the occasion of the approaching 100th anniversary of her birth, we in cooperation with the Third Programme of Radio Slovenia, the Ars Programme and the Slovenian Theatre Institute - Theatre Museum prepared a special broadcast in her memory The stage, which, along with archival and museum materials and theatre testimonies, should revive the memory of the great achievements of the actress, who forever marked Slovenian theatre and film.

Štefka Drolc's artistic career as an actress began at the Maribor Drama Theatre, continued and left an indelible mark at the Slovenian Permanent Theatre in Trieste, and she carried out the majority of her artistic engagement at the Slovenian National Theatre Drama Ljubljana. Her work was hand in hand with the greats of Slovenian, European and American drama of the 20th century.
