The Slovenian theater yearbook was first published as Repertoar of Slovenian theaters in 1967, on the centenary of the founding of the Drama Society. The present 22nd expanded edition, which focuses on the 2008/2009 theater season, includes 191 premiere performances and 204 reruns, which took place in 57 institutional, non-institutional and also semi-professional theaters and theater groups in Slovenia. The yearbook shows guest appearances in individual theaters and elsewhere, describes festivals and recognitions and awards, and also provides a comprehensive bibliography of books, serial publications and articles in the field of theaters, especially reviews published in the period in question. Different registers make it easier for the user to get to the individual performance. In the introduction, the selected expert companions of the theater events interpret the repertoire, content and aesthetic aspects of the theater productions in Slovenian drama, opera, ballet and puppet theaters in the 2008/2009 season.

This unique publication records the theatrical events of the half-past season, in which professional drama, opera, ballet, dance and puppet theaters offered 395 different productions to fans of the performing arts and played 5,497 performances, thus attracting 1,171,494 spectators.
