Material from the Archives SLOGI sign. 8, map 7, no. 2

Among materials of the Slovenian Theatre Institute on Ivan Cankar, the greatest Slovene playwright ever since (who died in 1918, exactly one hundred years ago) we keep some photos of his manuscript of the early version of his last play Lepa Vida (Fair Vida, above). The title of this early version is called Hrepenenje (Yearning). The items above present the first three pages and the last one of the first act of the original manuscript – accomplished with Cankar’s remark: “the whole end of the first act is a failure.”
