The recipient of the highest acting award for lifetime achievement in Slovenia for 2022 is a member of the Nova Gorica acting ensemble, where he worked from 1969, when the theater became professional, until his retirement in 2014.

In the impressive list of Barišič's theatrical roles, several exceptional creations in the drama of the absurd stand out. Even today, his interpretation in the staging of Ionesco's Bald singers (1995, directed by Vito Taufer); According to Andrej Inkret, he portrayed Mrs. Smith as "a slender, slightly graying, affected lady who, in a tight white costume and with a shopping bag in her hands, constantly twiddles her thumbs on her high heels and utters her absurd sentences with an unsurpassed fine feminine elegance." Tea Rogelj, in her justification of Borštnik's Ring, highlighted the most characteristic trait of Barišič's work: "as an actor, he constantly updates his style of acting and maintains a curiosity for new, different theatrical and filmic languages."

In the photo he is playing the role of the Seer in the play The road to Jajce (2009, directed by Sebastijan Horvat, co-produced by SNG Nova Gorica and SNG Drama Ljubljana), in which, according to Slavko Pezdir, "he expressed with a posthumous distance all the horrors of war and interethnic violence."
