We present to you the collections of SLOGI – Theatre Museum. In May 2020, we present a photograph of Bojan Stupica as Macheath, the leader of the Tolovac gang in Brecht and Weill Beggar's Opera, the first Slovenian production of one of Bertolt Brecht's plays (National Theatre in Ljubljana, premiered on September 30, 1937), which he also directed and designed the set design for.

May 2020 marks 50 years since the death of director and actor Bojan Stupica. A theatre maker, an architect by training, who placed performances in original stage spaces; a restless spirit who not only wrote himself into the history of Slovenian theatre, but with his nomadic artistic activity strongly marked theatrical life in the former common state and also stepped beyond its borders. The first director of the Ljubljana Drama after World War II clearly wrote about one of his wartime directorials: "I don't cater to average taste! No, I don't do that! What I do, I do with bloody sincerity and with a deep sense of serving a cause, the cause of theatre!"
