We present to you the collections of SLOGI – Theatre Museum. In November 2019, we present a portrait and poster of Avgusta Danilova.

On the 150th anniversary of the birth of Avgusta Danilova (1869–1958), Borštnik's student and leader of the repertoire at the Slovenian Theatre in Ljubljana at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries.

Her varied acting career in Ljubljana theatre includes a period in Trieste (1908–10) and two American periods (New York 1913–20 and Cleveland 1922–27). She returned to Slovenian cultural consciousness at the end of her career with the role of Obrekarice in the first Slovenian film On My Own Land.

Pictured as Princess Fedora Romazova in Victorien Sardou's play Fedora. The poster is for the same performance with which Danilova celebrated her 25th anniversary in theater.
