Dušan Jovanović – cultural terrorist

Between January 14 and March 7, 2025, you can see the First Lobby of Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana a retrospective exhibition on the life and work of Dušan JovanovićThe exhibition was prepared by the Slovenian Theatre Institute in collaboration with Cankarjev dom.

Dušan Jovanović He is one of the greatest Slovenian directors, playwrights and theatre reformers, and the history of Slovenian and Yugoslav theatre in the second half of the 20th century is fatefully linked to him. Exhibition Dušan Jovanović – Cultural terrorist will reveal the rich multifaceted nature of his creative work, appropriately connect it with key chapters from his life, and at the same time answer the question of why Josip Vidmar placed him among the "cultural terrorists." The exhibition will be accompanied by a scientific symposium, the first comprehensive monograph on Jovanović's work, screenings of films about his performances, a discussion evening with his companions, and special guided tours.
