Mojca Kreft's book focuses on František Križaj (1936-2005), who was a prominent figure in the work of Stage 57, and who created the greatest part of his artistic work as a house director at the Slovenian People's Theatre in Celje. Ivo Svetina wrote in the accompanying foreword that the author's study "is a comprehensive and in-depth discussion of one of the most important Slovenian theatre directors active in the second half of the last century; /.../ it is a valuable contribution to the so-called historicization of Slovenian theatre in the semi-transient past; it is a more than successful task of preserving the memory of the most ephemeral art and its creators. /.../ Mojca Kreft does not record the last truth about the artistic oeuvre of František Križaje, but with all her rich knowledge and the power of memory, she preserves the image of this important Slovenian director".

Mojca Kreft (1947, Videm ob Ščavnici) studied Slovene and ethnology at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, and after two years of studies she simultaneously enrolled in dramaturgy at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television, where she graduated in 1975. She was dramaturge (and several times acting artistic director) at the Ljubljana City Theatre (1975-1987), dramaturge at the Maribor SNG Drama Theatre (1987-1989), then artistic director at the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre (1989-1999) and dramaturge (2000). She then managed the sound archive at the Slovenian Theatre Museum as a curator from 2001 to 2009, when she obtained the professional title of museum consultant. She has worked as dramaturg of individual productions and author of essays with most of the Slovenian professional theatres. She was a selector of the Week of Slovenian Drama (1984) and the international biennial festival Zlata paličica (2005 and 2007), and a member of numerous professional juries in the field of performing arts. She has published numerous articles in various professional publications and has been a contributor to Radio Slovenia for many years with her discussions on theatre and drama. Her editorial work includes the monograph Oresteja '68 (2008), and she is also the author of a retrospective exhibition on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Borštnikovo srečanje Festival (2010).
