From the exhibition catalogue:

To date, 123 productions of Cankar's seven plays have been staged in Slovenian professional theatres, with around 1,500 performances. The King on Betajnova has had the most performances (30), while Romantic Souls has had the fewest (only 2). These productions have been created by 50 directors.

All of Cankar's works were directed by Milan Skrbinšek alone. All our generations of actors enthusiastically invested all their research and best findings into them. Slovenian amateur theaters of workers, farmers, schoolchildren and intellectuals had them and have them regularly on their schedules.
