In 1994, the Swiss Theatre Museum in Bern (Schweizerische Theatersammlung) also participated in the exhibition Shakespeare in the Theatres of Central Europe between the Two World Wars. Thanks to the connection established at that time, the Slovenian Theatre Museum (throughout Europe and the USA) is now hosting an exhibition about Adolphe Apia, a Swiss theatre reformer who is one of the greatest pioneers of stage design at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The exhibition was prepared by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, and in Ljubljana it is equipped with Slovenian translations.
