About the SLOGI library

Apart from works from the field of theatre history and dramatic literature, the library collects materials on general cultural history which support both current work in the museum (exhibitions and publishing activity) and research and studies of the mentioned fields.

Among the more valuable materials that can be found in the library are the archive of the Dramatic Society, the older collection of dramatic texts of the Ljubljana Drama and the majority of older Slovenian book editions with theatrical content. A large part of the library stock is represented by texts of original Slovenian dramatic texts and translations of dramatic literature.

Through purchases, gifts and the exchange of our editions with related institutions (theaters, archives, museums and galleries), the library fund increases by several hundred items every year.
