Nominees Day 2025 – Slavko Grum Award

On the schedule 55th Week of Slovenian Drama

Nominees' Day is an event where the texts nominated for the Slavko Grum Award are traditionally presented. The event provides a more detailed introduction to the texts, their intersections and creative processes, and at the same time examines the conditions and state of Slovenian drama in the theatrical landscape.

Nominated texts for the Slavko Grum Award 2025:
Varja Hrvatin: Villas in Slovenia
Nina Kuclar Stiković: Mermaid (one hundred and eighty-seven years later)
Masha Pelko: For OPHELIA (The Mythology of Drowning)
Milan Ramsak Markovic: A trilogy about cities and people

The event will be directed by Luka Ravnika, Neže Dvorščak, Julije Urban and Lucas Carboni Kopšeta, dramaturgy Blažka Gantar, Nike Šoštarič, Tajde Lipicer and Nastje Uršule Virk, light design Domna Lusina and sound design Neže Dvorščak reading staged nominated texts.

Reading performances of texts in interpretation Čarna Lampret, Aleksandar Jovanovski, Borut Petrović, Marko Rafolt, Jure Šimonka, Ivan Vastl, Eneja Štemberger, Maja Kunaver, Indija Stropnik, Petar Podgoršek, Ela Potočnik, Robert Kladnik, Špela Lovrec, Matica Žusto Šprah, Mile Peršin, Urban Brenčič, Jakob Podjavoršek, Nejc Kravos, Brina Rakun, Filip Žunić and The beginning of Carinthia will introduce dramaturgical considerations Maruše Freye Voglar, Lara Kerznar, Karin Winkler and Hane Obreza, dramaturgy student at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Arts and Letters.

The discussion with the nominees will be led by a theatre scholar and curator Ana Perne (SLOGI) and dramaturgy student Nejka Jevsek.

The event is co-organized by the Prešeren Theatre Kranj, the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television, and the Slovenian Theatre Institute.
