The Slovenian Theatre Institute - Theatre Museum joins the Museums for Peace campaign, which was initiated by the Association of Museums of Slovenia and ICOM Slovenia.
Museums are the guardians of history and cultural heritage. We have the power to use examples from history to warn of violence and the dark events of humanity, to teach and together to advocate for a better tomorrow. Our mission is to care for heritage, for democracy and freedom. Our task is to say the credo “never again war!” loudly and to warn of violence. The objects we publish are stories about the futility of wars and the lasting desire for peace and prosperity for all.
VRZA: Tugomer!
She kneels down next to him and puts his head in her arms.
Don't you know, when you were a little child
and you cried crookedly in the night,
How I held you in my arms
and ran with you: "You are my sun
"Oh, sleep, sleep on grandma's lap!"
But now you are too heavy, heavy and cold,
bloody on the face, in the eyes and mouth.
People there said you were killed.
