"Although Valič as an actor may seem easy to grasp at first glance with his directness, his acting thought is deeper. He himself expressed it best with the meaningful combination of "harmonious disagreement". Openness and veiledness, linear surface and dizzying depth, sympathy and resistance, naivety and doubt, simplicity and madness, seriousness and humor - these are stylistic and aesthetic pairs with which we could encompass - but still not completely - Valič's acting. They are already reflected in his acting face: it is marked by a kind of enigma, perhaps self-satisfaction, ironic gloom, a constant bad conscience, but at the same time with lucidity and sovereignty, a firm conviction, which does not follow a belief in order and right, but quite the opposite, an awareness of transience, lack of meaning, even absurdity. /…/ Perhaps Valič's key acting effort – and of course his pleasure – is directed towards the desire for balance, balancing extremes, not for a false "reconciliation", but for harmonizing opposites, which never return the state of the world – and the play – to its original state, but always leave deep traces on him, on his play and the world.
