Educators, teachers and mentors of theatre groups often lack ideas and knowledge about what and how to perform with children and young people. When they use non-dramatic texts, such as picture books, fairy tales or novels, they are mostly unsure about adaptation and dramatization.
To this end, the training participants will acquire the necessary theoretical and practical starting points for their creative and performing work, they will become familiar with various means of expression in theatre and innovative performance solutions, using methods of drama and theatre pedagogy. They will test their new knowledge on real-life examples, which will make it easier for them to transfer the acquired knowledge into actual use.
The training will be provided by Tjaša Črnigoj, theater director, philosopher and literary comparativist. It will take place on Thursday and Friday, December 2 and 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, December 4, from 3 to 7 p.m..
Professional training is included in Catalogue of continuing education and training programmes for education professionals (KATIS) Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of the Republic of Slovenia.
