Iz naših zbirk – Alja Tkačev (1934–1991) – igralka s svinčnikom

Predstavljamo vam zbirke SLOGI – Gledališkega muzeja. Maja 2021 se posvečamo igralki s svinčnikom Alji Tkačev.

Alja Tkačev (1934–1991) entered the history of Slovenian theatre and film as a striking original actress, as an interpreter with a high level of verbal culture, as a poet and puppeteer, translator and author of plays. She was one of the first outstanding actresses of the Ljubljana Youth Theatre, for a short time an actress "at liberty", then a member of the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre. She was also the driving force of several theatre groups outside the institution, as well as the author of diary prose (created between 1962 and 1991), which we are only discovering in its entirety today. Her acting career reflects the fundamental and intense shifts in the development of Slovenian theatre after 1945. The diaries speak with unusual power about freedom and solitude, between the lines, but no less clearly, as well as about society's attitude towards art and artists, which is why her writings are very relevant.

The selected diaries will be published in a book in 2021, co-published by the Slovenian Theatre Institute and Mladinska knjiga.
