Dog-Friendly Museum

At the Slovenian Theatre Institute - Theatre Museum, dogs can accompany their owners on tours of the exhibition spaces, and there is also an area where they can wait and relieve themselves. Out of respect for all our visitors, it is only possible to visit the museum with a dog if museum etiquette is strictly observed.

Museum etiquette for dog owners

  • Only dogs accompanied by an adult with a ticket may enter. Admission is free.
  • Only well-trained, obedient dogs are welcome.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash.
  • The owner assumes all responsibility. Including for any damages.
  • In the event that a dog accidentally needs to be cleaned up after an accident in the museum, the owner must arrange for the clean-up and inform the museum staff of the incident.
  • Unfortunately, admission is not possible for public guided tours or other activities attended by large numbers of visitors. The Museum may also restrict admission in other exceptional circumstances.
  • The museum may restrict entry to dangerous animals. These are those animals that pose a threat to the environment because they are uncontrollable or exhibit aggressive behaviour towards humans. (Official Journal ZZZiv-UPB3, Article 5)
  • Service dogs may enter the museum at any time, regardless of emergency circumstances.

Before visiting the museum Recommended:

  • that the dog is fed,
  • to get a good workout,
  • to carry out your pre-visit needs.
