Slovenian Theatre Institute (SLOGI) and Slovenian National Theatre Drama Ljubljana (SNG Drama) are organizing professional training in the 2020/21 school year, intended for primary and secondary school teachers, teachers of elective subjects in the field of theatre, mentors of theatre groups, and coordinators of cultural and artistic education.
Professional education in full extent 16 hours will take place online (in the ZOOM environment) in four afternoon sessions between March 9th and 18th, 2021It will also cover watching a theater performance SNG Drama Ljubljana. Participants will learn about the importance of appropriately selecting a quality theatre performance for a specific age group, learn about a model of a comprehensive theatre visit, and actively test methods and creative approaches for effectively integrating theatre viewing into lessons.
Programme provides the following thematic sections:
• March 9 from 16:30 to 20:00: Selection of quality performances for children and youth and a tour of the theater backstage
• March 11 from 16:30 to 20:00: Languages of theatre
• March 16 from 16:30 to 20:00: Viewing of the SNG Drama Ljubljana theatre performance and discussion after the viewing
• March 18 from 16:30 to 20:00: Reflective re-creation after watching the performance and analysis of the performance
Professional training is also included in Catalogue of continuing education and training programmes for education professionals (KATIS) of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of the Republic of Slovenia.

Participants in the professional training will received a certificate, which is issued in accordance with the provisions of the Rules on the promotion of employees in education and training in titles and will be able to claim it in their application for promotion.
