Ros Ribas – Theater photographer

Ljubljana: Slovenian Theatre Museum, 2010

For over thirty years, Barcelona-based photographer Ros Ribas has photographed the stage sets of the most important Spanish theatres. An overview of his professional career also helps us to create a picture of the history of the dramatic arts in Spain in recent years. This kind of history escapes memory due to the ephemeral nature of theatrical performances, but Ros Ribas is an exceptional witness to it. He has left behind thousands of images that document the past without losing the transience inherent in every dramatic performance.
