In September this year we are witnessing the 100th anniversary of the revival of the Slovenian National Theater after the WW I. After four years of “theater silence” during the war the first theater season in the building of today’s SNG Opera and Ballet Ljubljana began with the performance of play Divji lovec by Finžgar (September 29, 1918). Another milestone in the Slovene theatre history is the performance of Tugomer by Jurčič, since this was the opening night on the stage of today’s SNG Drama Ljubljana (February 6, 1919) and represents the spatial (till nowadays in force) separation of the drama from the opera repertoire.
