Amfiteatrov znanstveni simpozij, Ljubljana, 6. in 7. oktober 2022. Generator::za proizvodnjo poljubnega števila dramskih kompleksov ali »zbornik slovenskih eksperimentalnih dramskih in uprizoritvenih tekstov iz obdobja modernizma (1966–1986)« v izdaji UL AGRFT in SLOGI (2022) je v našo gledališko, literarno in kulturno zavest priklical več kot 50 besedil okrog 30 slovenskih avtorjev in nekaj kolektivov, ki so bila objavljena (nekaj jih je bilo tudi samo uprizorjenih) v različnih slovenskih literarnih revijah, prilogah, časopisih ali drugih izdajah in ki jih (pogojno) lahko imenujemo dramsk
ENICPA – participation in a three-day meeting in Oslo
On September 28, 2022, a three-day meeting of the European Network of Information Centers for the Performing Arts (ENICPA – European Network of Information Centers for the Performing Arts), of which SLOGI is also a member, begins in Oslo. The presentation of the members of the network will be on the program on September 29, 2022; SLOGI will be presented at the round table by theatrologist and curator Ana Perne.
56Bitef22 – Slovenci na letošnjem Bitefu
Od 23. septembra v Beogradu poteka 56. izdaja Bitefa. Letošnji tekmovalni program mednarodnega gledališkega festivala, ki ga od 2015 umetniško vodi Ivan Medenica, bo ob predstavah iz Nemčije, Belgije, Francije, Mehike, Srbije in Velike Britanije predstavil tudi slovenske avtorje. V tekmovalnem programu bosta nastopili predstavi Solo (Nova pošta – SMG in Maska; rež. Nina Rajić Kranjac) in Krize (Nova pošta – SMG in Maska, Domino, Bitef; rež. Žiga Divjak), ki bo 30. septembra na Bitefu predstavljena premierno.
Zavod Maska bo predstavil novo številko revije Maska na temo Jugofuturizma, s katero se bo 30. 9. ukvarjala tudi mednarodna konferenca.
Te dni vse gledališke poti vodijo v Beograd – saj bo mednarodna mreža sodobnih scenskih umetnosti IETM v okviru spremljevalnega programa Bitefa organizirala svoj plenarni sestanek, štiridnevno srečanje z več kot 500 udeleženci in vrsto umetniških dogodkov.

Czech footprints in Slovenia/Češke sledi v Sloveniji – Odprtje razstave
Veleposlaništvo Češke republike v Ljubljani je ob češkem predsedovanju Svetu Evropske unije pripravilo razstavo o zgodovinskih povezavah med Slovenci in Čehi. Na njej predstavljajo tesno povezanost med narodoma in pomembne češke osebnosti – znanstvenike, umetnike, politike in gospodarstvenike –, ki so zaznamovale slovensko družbeno življenje.

Ivo Barišič, recipient of Borštnik Ring Award 2022 – This year’s recipient of the highest acting award for lifetime achievement in Slovenia is a member of the Nova Gorica acting ensemble where he was active from 1969, when the theatre gained the professional status, to his retirement in 2014. In the impressive oeuvre of Barišič’s theatre roles, many distinguished creations in the stagings of the absurd drama stand out. His interpretation in Ionesco’s The Bald Singer (1995, directed by Vito Taufer) still lives on in the collective memory of spectators; according to Andrej Inkret, Barišič portrayed Mrs. Smith as a “slender, already grey-haired, temperamental lady who in a tight white suit and with a shopping bag in her hands minces short steps on high heels and utters her absurd sentences with unmistakeably refined feminine elegance.” Tea Rogelj highlighted the most characteristic feature of his stage presence in the explanation of the Borštnik Ring Award: “as an actor, he constantly updates his way of acting and ceaselessly broadens curiosity for a new, different theatre and film expression.”

POLDE BIBIČ (3 February 1933–13 July 2012), the legend of Slovenian theatre. This July, we mark the 10th anniversary since Polde Bibič passed away, the actor and theatre pedagogue, as well as a valuable author of memoirs and documentary literature on Slovenian theatre. He was a member of the acting ensemble at SNT Drama Ljubljana – and its director for a few years – but he was present elsewhere as well; next to numerous theatre roles, he created an extraordinary number of roles in film, television and radio.

In September 2021, the Slovenian Theater Institute acquired the oeuvre of Cveta Mirnik, one of the most visible theater costume designers in Slovenia (1951–2021). It was donated to us by her aunt Ivanka Pirš.
In 1979 at the Maribor Theatre Festival, Cveta Mirnik was bestowed the Borštnik Award for costume design in Right you are – if you think you are by Luigi Pirandello, produced by Slovene National Theatre Nova Gorica.
Its director Dušan Mlakar is this year’s (2022) recipient of Tantadruj, the award for lifetime achievements conferred by three Slovenian theatres from the western Primorska region and Italy’s Trieste.
