September 2021 marks the 40th anniversary of the death of Rudi Kosma\u010d, a master of the artistic word, whose acting esprit was particularly pronounced in the interpretation of poetry. While acting in his home theater, the Ljubljana Drama, he was also active on experimental stages, from Oder 57 to Glej. At the same time, he lectured on the artistic word with extraordinary sensitivity at the Academy of Theater, Radio, Film and Television, and with his recitation, especially radio work, he made a rich contribution to the field of spoken presentation of literary works, or rather, the culture of speech itself. He also created unforgettable roles in film and television.<\/p>\n

In his "Farewell Words", the then artistic director of the Ljubljana Drama Lado Kralj wrote: "Rudi Kosma\u010d made an unconditional contribution to theatre and poetry." believed<\/em>", he burned and burned out in this faith, he believed in the mission of theater in the non-pathetic and modest sense of the word, he believed in the commitment of theater to the nation, history, and the present moment at the same time."<\/p>\n
