{"id":19069,"date":"2026-07-03T10:19:32","date_gmt":"2026-07-03T08:19:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.slogi.si\/?post_type=publikacija&#038;p=19069"},"modified":"2026-07-08T11:14:43","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T09:14:43","slug":"amfiteater-revija-za-teorijo-scenskih-umetnosti-letnik-14-stevilka-1","status":"publish","type":"publikacija","link":"https:\/\/www.slogi.si\/en\/publikacije\/amfiteater-revija-za-teorijo-scenskih-umetnosti-letnik-14-stevilka-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Amfiteater, Journal of Performing Arts Theory, Volume 14, Number 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"translation-block\">The first issue of the fourteenth volume of <em>Amfiteater: Journal of Performing Arts Theory<\/em>, is largely devoted to articles developed from papers presented at the journal's international symposium, \"Ecology and the Performing Arts,\" held in the autumn of 2025 at the Slovenian Theatre Institute in Ljubljana.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The aim of the <em>Amfiteater<\/em> Autumn Symposium was to explore ecology and climate change in relation to drama, theatre, the performing arts, and hybrid artistic practices (such as performance art, new media art, and intermedia art). Questions of how to respond to the impending ecological crisis, and what role art can play in advancing the green transition, have become increasingly prominent within contemporary artistic practice.<\/p>\r\n<p>The symposium was conceived by Janez Strehovec, philosopher and theorist of new media art and its contexts, who in recent years also published several in-depth studies on ecological issues in contemporary art and society. This issue is dedicated to his memory.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The thematic section of the first issue of this year's <em> Amfiteatra<\/em> comprises thirteen articles in Slovenian and English. The contributors are Prof. Dr. Lada \u010cale Feldman, Dr. Ga\u0161per Troha, Prof. Dr. Mateja Pezdirc Bartol, Dr. Petra Je\u017ekov\u00e1, Assist. Prof. Dr. Giada Cipollone, Assistant Bruna Bonanno, Maria Paola Zedda, M.A., Anja Dimitrijevi\u0107, M.A., Prof. Dr. Narvika Bovcon, Prof. Dr. Ale\u0161 Vaupoti\u010d, Assist. Prof. Dr. Kaja Kraner, Tery \u017de\u017eelj, M.A., and Jatun Risba, M.A.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"translation-block\">In addition to the thematic section, the issue includes three further articles: Uro\u0161 Trefalt examines the transformations of traditional puppet characters in the Central European cultural space; Eva Kra\u0161evec discusses comedy at the beginning of the twentieth century; and Helena Valerija Krieger explores the authorial ballet choreographies of <em>The Dying Swans Project<\/em> in virtual space.<\/p>\r\n<p>The issue was edited by dr.
