SLOGI \u2013 The Theatre Museum takes care of preserving, documenting and presenting, researching, studying, interpreting and promoting Slovenian theatre heritage of various kinds. SLOGI also functions as the central Slovenian theatre museum, thus continuing the tradition of its predecessor, founded in 1952.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The SLOGI \u2013 Theatre Museum <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Formally, content-wise and spatially, the museum is divided into:<\/p>

1. iconotheque, which collects visual theatre material, i.e. collections of stage photographs, stage and costume drafts, theater sheets and posters, art materials, etc.;<\/p>

2. the theater archive, which stores all the written heritage, i.e. personal legacies and manuscripts of theatre artists with diverse material;<\/p>

3. audio collection and video archive, which stores video and audio documentation;<\/p>

4. a special theatre library, which contains all Slovenian theatre literature, and<\/p>

5th department for pedagogical theater programs aimed at children, young people, adults, families and vulnerable groups.<\/p>

Among the outstanding museum items kept by the museum are some of the manuscripts and letters of the biggest names in Slovenian theatre, including some by Cankar, statues and portraits of Slovenian theatre actors, which are the creations of top visual artists, as well as stage sketches by August \u010cernigoj, the founder of constructivism, one the most prominent representatives of the historical avant-garde in Slovenian fine art.<\/p>

With its permanent exhibition WALK behind the AUDIENCE with the subtitle From the Jesuits to Cankar, the museum presents the first 400 years of Slovenian theater history, from the theater of the Reformation to Ivan Cankar.\u00a0<\/p>

From time to time, the permanent exhibition is replaced by occasional topical exhibitions, such as the 2017 exhibition on the hundredth anniversary of the founding of the Dramatic Society in Ljubljana. He also travels with exhibitions - for example, an exhibition about Ignacio Bor\u0161tnik is currently on view in his birthplace in Cerklje in Gorenjska.\u00a0<\/p>

He also does well in the virtual world, which he has already enriched with more than ten digital exhibitions held in collaboration with the Novi Zato institute. and other partners.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
