Bogomile Kravos.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On July 13, 2020, a protocol will be signed, which will be the basis for the return of the National House to the Slovenes in Trieste. One hundred years ago on this day, July 13, 1920, Italian fascists with the support of the military authorities - the firemen were not allowed to put out the fire - burned down the previous building of the Slovenian National House in Trieste. The event, with its symbolic message, deeply shook the Trieste Slovenians and Slovenians in general.<\/p>\n<p>What does this palace mean to us, Slovenes in Trieste and in our motherland? Why was Trieste called the lungs of Slovenia in the past century? To whom did Cankar lecture in the Workers&#039; Home? How did our ancestors establish themselves in this metropolis? How did they manage to be connected with other Slavs, have 4 banks, a Steam Consortium, a blast furnace in \u0160kedenj, some architecturally important buildings in the city center and the first permanent professional theater? Do we know our glorious past?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.slogi.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Portret_Milica-Kravos_3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-22196 size-square alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.slogi.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Portret_Milica-Kravos_3-180x180-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a>A woman from Trieste <strong>dr. Bogomila Kravos<\/strong> (Trieste, 1948) is a Slavologist, a theater expert, a doctor of science in the field of literary studies and an independent researcher. She taught at Slovenian higher secondary schools in Trieste, with Sergej and Ivan Ver\u010d and Boris Kobal, she directed the Slovenian Amateur Theater (1971\u20131977), was one of the founders of the New Trieste Theater (1989\u20131990), and headed the Slovenian Club in Trieste (1994\u2013 2004) and since 1991 she has been the president of the city association Slavko \u0160kamperle. As an expert for Trieste&#039;s Slovenian permanent theater, it cooperates in Ljubljana with the Slovenian Theater Institute, before that its predecessor the Slovenian Theater Museum, and Slovenska matica, as well as Trieste&#039;s Civico Museo Teatrale C. Schmidl and the Slovenian Research Institute. So far, she has published monographic works: <em>Slovenian Theater in Trieste 1945\u20131965<\/em> (Ljubljana: SGM, 2001),<em> Golden years in Trieste theatre<\/em> (Koper: Lipa, 2003), <em>Slovenian permanent theater in Trieste - tradition in an intercultural reality<\/em> (Ljubljana: SGM, 2011), <em>Slovenian drama and Trieste text<\/em> (Ljubljana: SGM, 2011), <em>SAG \u2013 TREST (Slovenian amateur theater from the 1971\/72 season to the 1976\/77 season)<\/em> (Ljubljana: SGM, 2012), <em>My father&#039;s story<\/em> (Ljubljana: SM, 2013), <em>Un teatro per la citt\u00e0<\/em> (Trieste, Ljubljana: SLORI, SSG, SLOGI, 2015), <em>Slovenian Theater in Trieste. From the first performances to the present day. 1848\u20132018<\/em> (Ljubljana: SM, SLOGI, 2019), collection of essays <em>Applause to the Trieste theater ensemble from 1945-65<\/em> (Trieste: ZTT, 2017). He also publishes in the professional press.
