After being installed in the National Gallery, the work will be the first large overview exhibitions on scenography in Slovenia<\/strong><\/a> in cooperation with the Maribor Art Gallery and the Bor\u0161tnik's Meeting Festival in Maribor.<\/h4>\n

The exhibition A space within a space<\/em> is the first comprehensive overview of the development of scenography in Slovenia from the first liturgical, church plays (passion plays, processions) to 1991 in theaters, operas and beyond. With the help of preserved maquettes, scene drafts in various artistic techniques, sketches, plans and photographs, the performance presents scenography as a science, the work of modern and older scenographers, and the development of play spaces on Slovenian stages. Since most scenographers of the older generation are also important Slovenian visual artists, the exhibition highlights the theatrical part of their oeuvres, which until now has been poorly presented (for example, the works of Ivan Vavpoti\u010d, August \u010cernigoj, Marija Pregl, Gabrijela Stupica, Val Bratina, Maks Kav\u010di\u010d, Jo\u017ee Polajenko , To\u0161e Primo\u017ei\u010d, ... ) until the projects in 1991 (Vadim Fi\u0161kina, Miran Moharj, Marko Japlje). The exhibition brings a new perspective on the history of fine arts and the history of theater on our soil.<\/p>\n

The exhibition puts on display 8 models and 213 exhibited exhibits<\/strong> (plans, sketches, director's books and stage drafts, photographs), mostly from the collection of the Slovenian Theater Institute - Theater Museum, some from the collection of the National Gallery in Ljubljana and from private collections. It is divided into individual independent sections: A space within a space<\/em>, which represents the development of the stage space from the Passions in the 17th century to 1991. The magic of stage drafts<\/em>, where we also walk through different art styles through the drafts. A special segment is represented by stage drafts from the period historical avant-garde<\/em>, with an emphasis on stage drafts Augusta Chernigoj<\/em>, images of scenographies experimental stages and alternative theaters<\/em> after World War II. Scene drafts are also presented based on the dramatic proposals of Slovenian authors<\/em> and a selection of the most beautiful scenic drafts according to the suggestions Shakespeare's works<\/em>. The exhibition concludes with some of the most characteristic examples scenography between 1970 and 1991<\/em>. With them, the development into today's scenographic paths is indicated.<\/p>\n

He prepared the exhibition Slovenian Theatre Institute (SLOGI)<\/strong> in collaboration with The National Gallery<\/a>. They are the producers of the installation in Maribor Maribor Art Gallery<\/a> and Bor\u0161tnik's meeting festival<\/a>. The exhibition is also included in the program 54th Festival Bor\u0161tnik's meeting<\/a>.<\/p>\n
