WARPED SPACE<\/em>

 <\/p>\n

Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space (PQ)<\/em> is an eminent international event that covers the field of set design, costume design and theatre architecture. The world\u2019s largest exhibition dedicated to the visual dimension of theatre, contemporary dance, opera, ballet and puppet theatre as well as theatre profiles of architecture forms a platform that presents the most recent design solutions of the world\u2019s theatre production. In dialogue with contemporary curatorial practices it goes beyond boundaries among architecture, performing and visual arts.<\/p>\n

The Prague Quadrennial 2019 will be held June 6\u201316 2019<\/strong> at the Industrial Palace and Prague Exhibition Grounds that hosted the first and many subsequent PQs. The main theme of the 14th edition is Imagination, Transformation and Memory<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Barbara Novakovi\u010d Kolenc<\/strong> as a curator of Slovenian’s contribution to the PQ 2019<\/strong> selected the 7 authors\/art collectives for the Slovenian section for the Exhibition of Countries and Regions 2019: Angelina Atlagi\u0107<\/strong>, Uro\u0161 Belanti\u010d<\/strong>, Mateja Bu\u010dar<\/strong> & Vadim Fi\u0161kin<\/strong>, IRWIN<\/strong>, Leo Kula\u0161<\/strong> and NUMEN<\/strong>. Their opus selection will be presented in the installation Warped Space<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The opening of the installation will be held on 6th of June at 11. a.m.<\/strong> at the Industrial palace (right wing) in Prague<\/strong>. Invitation to the opening<\/a><\/p>\n

The concept of the installation Warped Space<\/em> evolves from the contributions by selected artists: Uros Belanti\u0107<\/strong> (costume design in the musical Drago Ivanu\u0161a: Orlando<\/em>, Ljubljana City Theatre), group IRWIN<\/strong> (exhibition Kapital 2018<\/em> in the scope of the performance Ivo Svetina: In the Name of the Mother<\/em>, SNT Drama Ljubljana), Leo Kulas\u030c<\/strong> (costume design in the drama performance Immaculata \u2013 Hommage to Tomaz\u030c Pandur<\/em> and ballet performance Edward Clug: Peer Gynt<\/em>, SNT Maribor), Angelina Aatlagi\u0107<\/strong> (costumne design in the ballet Symphony of Sorrowful Songs – Hommage to Tomaz Pandur<\/em> and set design of the group NUMEN<\/strong> for the eponyomus performance, SNT Opera and ballet Ljubljana) and Mateja Bu\u010dar<\/strong> and Vadim Fishkin<\/strong> (costume and set design for the dance performance Rear Window \u2013 Dancers Without Answers<\/em>, DUM \u2013 Association of Artists).<\/p>\n
