The Dramatic Writers Unit (DPP) of the ZDUS, the Slovenian Theatre Institute (SLOGI) and the Ptuj City Theatre invite you to DRAMA WRITING WORKSHOP FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES<\/strong>, which will be led by Sarah Nemitz<\/strong> and Lutz H\u00fcbner<\/strong>, and on DISCUSSION ON THE STATUS OF PLAYWRITERS IN GERMANY AND SLOVENIA<\/strong>, which will be published by the authors Sarah Nemitz<\/strong>, Lutz H\u00fcbner<\/strong> and Kim Komljanec<\/strong> led Ga\u0161per Troha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the workshop<\/strong> The mentors will first present their approach to writing, choosing topics and creating a dramatic form, and after a short break we will focus on youth theatre and the specifics of writing for this audience, talk about topics that could appeal to young people in Slovenia, and look for a dramatic form suitable for the topics. The workshop will last two and a half hours<\/strong>. The number of places is limited.<\/strong>, applications are accepted at dramatika@zdus.si<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In conversation<\/strong> we will learn what it means to be a playwright - Lutz is an active member of the German association of playwrights, Verband der Theaterautor:innen - and look for parallels between the situation in Germany and Slovenia. Conversation with German authors, a Slovenian playwright and founder of the DPP ZDUS unit Kim Komljanec<\/strong> and many other authors will lead Ga\u0161per Troha<\/strong>, director of SLOGI.<\/p>\n

The working language of both events will be English.<\/p>\n

\nSarah Nemitz<\/strong> and Lutz H\u00fcbner<\/strong>, born in 1964, are a German author duo who have received numerous nominations and awards for their dramatic texts. After their studies \u2013 Lutz studied philosophy, sociology, German literature and acting, Sarah dance, philosophy and art history \u2013 Sarah worked as a theatre and film actress, Lutz as a director, actor and playwright, who initially established himself as an author of texts for a young audience, and since the 1990s has been one of the most frequently performed playwrights on German stages; in the 1999\/2000 season, only Shakespeare and Goethe surpassed him in terms of the number of performances. His youth texts have so far been performed on Slovenian stages Marjetka p. 89<\/em> (MG Ptuj, St. James Theatre, SLG Celje), Creeps<\/em> (MG Ptuj, SiTi Theatre), Boxer's heart<\/em> (GOML-LGL) and Nelly is no more.<\/em> (LGL). Since 2001, he has been writing in tandem with Sarah, and in early April their drama texts had their Slovenian premiere.
