The volume is introduced by four essays, the topics of which range from a reflection on the avant-garde through the prism of relations between the center and the periphery of Central and Eastern Europe (Prof. Dr. Toma\u017e Topori\u0161i\u010d) to an analysis of the diverse multilingual theatrical activity of Carinthian Slovenians as a theatrical and cultural-sociological phenomenon (Prof. Dr. Andrej Leben) to theatrical pedagogy (Dr. Irina Le\u0161nik Jeras) and an analysis of the youth drama of Andrej Rozman Roza (Prof. Dr. Milena Mileva Bla\u017ei\u0107).<\/p>\n<p>The discussions are followed by an extensive interview with director Iztok Tory (prepared by Primo\u017e Jesenko, MA) and an essay by Jana Pavli\u010d about the opera. <em>Nixon in China<\/em>, which compares it with other (con)texts.<\/p>\n<p>The issue concludes with reviews of the proceedings <em>Speech and space<\/em>, written by Assoc.
