Due to the closure of the castle, the exhibition Milestones of Theatre Play at Turjak Castle is open until September 1, 2024.<\/h3>\n

A fundamental characteristic of acting (and theatre art itself) is ephemerality, which is why theatre play is usually described as an elusive artistic expression that lives in the moment of performance. It is impossible to preserve it in the entirety of its realization.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Exhibition of the Slovenian Theatre Institute - Theater Museum Milestones of theater play<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0was born from the desire to get closer to the art of acting and does not imagine that it will firmly grasp the incommensurable, nor that it will be between\u00a0milestones<\/em>\u00a0covered all the various past acting performances. It wants to offer the experience of feeling a theatrical play. Therefore, the approach taken by the exhibition is only one of the possible ones.<\/p>\n

An extremely wide field of theater plays is offered in Slovenia\u00a0different angles of consideration<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0chronological<\/strong>\u00a0as a short historical overview of individual historical chapters and some prominent acting expressions;<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0comparative<\/strong>, where stylistic differences are shown on the basis of different stage portrayals, namely the two central characters of Ivan Cankar as a playwright who has a special significance for Slovenian theatre;<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0searching<\/strong>\u00a0with the presentation of selected examples of a different approach to play and theatrical creation;<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0pedagogical<\/strong>, which, through the reflections of today's professors at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (UL AGRFT), addresses the issues of the formation of new generations of actors, acting methods and techniques.<\/p>\n

Visitors are invited to discover the theater play by entering the\u00a0typically a theater space<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 to the hall. However, the exhibition also wants to attract attention outside of it: z\u00a0considerations<\/em>,\u00a0memories<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0anecdotes<\/em>, which in their own way contribute to the preservation of the theatrical play.<\/p>\n

The exhibition\u00a0it is methodologically derived from selected photographic, audio and audio-visual recordings<\/strong>. The fundamental guide in the preparation of the exhibition content was based on the material kept by the collections of the Slovenian Theater Institute - Theater Museum. Along with the collaboration with UL AGRFT and with Slovenian theater houses and producers, the collaboration with Tone Stojko, who keeps a rich archive of videos of performances, also represents an important contribution to the exhibition.<\/p>\n

Contents on recorded exhibition chapters\u00a0introducing actress Sara Dirnbek<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Bla\u017e Chief<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Visitors can access the contents\u00a0via tablets<\/strong>, while providing a historical flyover\u00a0projection in the central part of the exhibition space<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 on the "stage" of the theater hall.<\/p>\n

She is the author of the exhibition\u00a0Ana Perne<\/strong>, theatrologist and curator from the Slovenian Theater Institute - Theater Museum.<\/p>\n
