We are presenting our collections. In December 2020, on the Eve of 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Bert Sotlar, we are presenting a photography of Bert Sotlar as Agamemnon in Aeschylus's Oresteia<\/em> (1968) directed by Mile Korun and a photography of Bert Sotlar as Uncle France in the movie Moments of Decision<\/em> directed by Franti\u0161ek \u010cap (1955).<\/p>\n

Bert Sotlar is a famous name of Slovenian theater and film. After his studies at the Actors Academy in Ljubljana, Bojan Stupica engaged him as a young actor for the Yugoslav Drama Theater in Belgrade, where he stayed for three years. After that he changed for the Drama Theater in Ljubljana and stayed there until his retirement. Although he is best known for his performances in Slovenian and Yugoslavian films, in which he created more than 40 roles (let's just recall his \u0160tefuc in That Beautiful Day<\/em> or Lovro and Don't Cry Peter<\/em> or Bo\u0161tjan Presecnik and Flowers in autumn<\/em>), he was also an important theater actor, having created a series of psychologically deepened roles marked by striking masculinity, which eventually earned him the Bor\u0161tnik Ring (1982) and the Pre\u0161eren Prize (1974). If one beyond that adds his contribution as an actor in television series and plays, one can only agree with the record attributed to him at the time of his death that he was a "master of all media".<\/p>\n
