We are presenting our our collections. In November 2019 we are presenting a photograpy and poster of Augusta Danilova.
150th birth anniversary of Augusta Danilova (1869–1958), Ignacij Borštnik’s pupil and the repertoire supporter at the Slovenian theatre in Ljubljana at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20 th century.
Her varied acting career focused on the Ljubljana Theater includes the Trieste period between 1908 and 1910 and two American periods (New York between 1913 and 1920, and Cleveland between 1922 and 1927). She returned to the Slovenian cultural consciousness at the end of her career with the role of Obrekarica in the first Slovenian film On Our Land.
On the photography Fedora Romazov in the play Fedora by Victorien Sardou. The poster was for the same performance marking Danilova’s 25th anniversary as an actress.
