Season 2018/2019 marks the centenary of the Slovenian ballet (Ljubljana established its first professional ballet ensemble in 1918). Its recognition, growth and evolution were propelled considerably by the work of the ballet choreographer, pedagogue, ballet soloist and opera director of Russian descent Peter Gresserov-Golovin (1894–1981).
