Alenka Bartl, the great lady of the costume design in Slovenia, passed away on the 8th of March this year. In the period of fifty-five years of her activity, she designed over 500 sets of theater costumes, worked on approximately forty films and television productions, and laid foundations for the first Slovene sections for costume (and set) design at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana.
In cooperation with the National Gallery of Slovenia, SLOGI prepared the retrospective, Alenka Bartl, costume designer in 2012. The SLOGI Iconoteque - Theater museum holds over 2600 costumes from the rich creative oeuvre.
