A selection of hundreds of photographs by Tone Stojek, the most prominent Slovenian theater photographer, was presented at the National Theater in Maribor during the 38th Slovenian theater festival Borštnikovo srečanje.
He was born in 1947 in Strezetina. He studied journalism at the College of Sociology, Political Science and Journalism in Ljubljana. Tone Stojko has been present in the Slovenian cultural space as a photographer for a decade and a half. He began his journey with journalistic work, quickly matured personally, listened to new initiatives everywhere and implemented original solutions. Stojko's photographic cycles are visible achievements of modern Slovenian photographic design. He received the Prešeren Fund Award in 1984 for the exhibition of theatrical photographs in 1983.
