Villa Malina is the story of a villa without a name. He has no parents, as no fairy has parents. She wanders through the forest and walks from one animal to another, from the well to the lily... She is a very dirty fairy, because she does not like to wash herself, and the well also makes it difficult for her. The other inhabitants of the forest do not like her. One day, however, she sees a raspberry and decides that it will be hers, and she also decides that her name will be Malina, i.e. Vila Malina. Before she gets the raspberry, she has a problem, because she is bothered by the hedgehog, who refuses to give her the raspberry and says it is his. However, in the end, the fairy ends up lucky, as she gets a raspberry.
Svetlana Makarovich (Maribor, 1 January 1939) is a poet and chanson singer and one of the most interesting and controversial figures in Slovenian public life. She graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana. After several years of career as a theater actress and after the extraordinary success she achieved in the performance of Gregor Strniša's play The Unicorn, she left this profession because of, as she says, "fake relationships between people". She has been a freelance writer since 1970. Little is known about her life, hidden from the public. Svetlana Makarovič managed to surprise many times. So, for example, she refused the most prestigious Prešeren award without further explanation, and with this act she thoroughly stunned and divided the Slovenian public. Otherwise, together with other Slovenian poets, he goes abroad several times, where he participates in the presentation of Slovenian poetry and literature. It is worth noting that Svetlana Makarovič is also a committed fighter for animal rights. Source: Slovenian literature, lexicon. Ljubljana: Cankarjeva publishing house. p. 276-277
