Knjiga je izšla v sozaložbi tržaške založniške hiše Mladika in Slovenskega gledališkega muzeja v Ljubljani. Delo obravnava amatersko gledališko dejavnost na Proseku in Kontovelu v letih 1863-2004. V tej dejavnosti je bil Jaka Štoka (1867-1922) osrednja osebnost slovenskega gledališkega snovanja na Tržaškem kot organizator, režiser, avtor osmih dramskih besedil, ki jih še vedno uprizarjajo ne le ljubiteljske gledališke skupine, ampak tudi poklicne igralske hiše.
